Touch my geometry, missus

It might lack Retina graphics and it might need better thumbstick placement (specifically more scrolling so that you aren’t always covering important screen areas with your thumbs, something most other iPod twin-stick shooters have managed without making a big fuss about it), but Geometry Wars Touch is still a big chunk of quality game for 59p.
Which is what it’s currently going for, so get in there.

So with the current low price, what’s the better bet, this or geoFighter – Light Wars?
I personally prefer Geometry Wars. Then again, both games together cost all of £2.38 today, or about the same price as a ZX Spectrum budget game from 1987 and two packets of Polos at 1987 prices.
In all honesty I find Light Wars the more enjoyable game, due almost entirely to the thumbstick issues. But I do love Geometry Wars Waves.
The game is broken on iOS 3, and has been for at least two months. If only I’d read the iTunes reviews before I bought it. Still, only 59p down, and maybe it’ll work if I upgrade to a newer iPhone.
